Oklahoma Legislative Review Recommends DHS Change Approach To Managing The I/DD HCBS Waiting List
On October 5, 2021, a legislative review of how the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) has managed its waiting lists for three home-and community-based services (HCBS) waivers for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) concluded that the department should change its wait list management. The state currently uses a “first on, first off” approach to assign waiver slots to those on the waiting list.
