JusticeWorks is seeking a Full-time Director of Human Resources who will be directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource functions. The position manages all employees of the HR department and is responsible for the performance management of the employees within that department and the hiring of all employees within the company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the Company’s mission and strategic vision.
  • Provides overall leadership and guidance to the HR department by overseeing recruiting, employee development/performance, succession planning, retention, compensation and benefits.
  • Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
  • Manages oversight of employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance plans, disability programs, wellness, voluntary benefits, and retirement plans.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization’s compliance.
  • Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
  • Communicates changes in the organization’s personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
  • Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization’s wage and salary program.
  • Coordinates or conducts exit interviews and reviews monthly exit interview report to determine cause for turnover.
  • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters.
  • Works directly with Regional and Program Directors to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
  • Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the organization.
  • Manages behavior surveys for staff and final candidates.
  • Develops and maintains a human resource information system that meets the organization’s personnel information needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years’ related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Senior Certified Professional or Certified Profession credentials preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to a vehicle.
  • Pass current, applicable clearances.
  • Pass pre-employment, post-offer drug and alcohol screening.
