The Senior Health Care Blog Writer at OPEN MINDS requires advanced writing and editing skills that include the ability to translate clinical, business, and policy issues into a daily blog post for health care executives. This professional creates original content, based on the market intelligence produced by the OPEN MINDS team – reports, news reports, client roundtables, white papers, educational presentations, and other industry data.

Our organization provides market intelligence and consultation on management best practices to organizations serving consumers with behavioral disorders, chronic medical conditions, autism, I/DD, alzheimer’s and dementias, and social support needs. The responsibilities of the role include writing and posting the daily blogs, participating in calls and meetings with our customer organizations, generating ideas for future articles, developing and maintaining a schedule of blog posts; and participating in social media efforts to increase readership of the daily blog post.
Excellent writing, editing, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Our content is published on the WordPress platform. Most blog posts require collaboration with our talent team, as well as frequent contact with our client organizations in the health and human service field. Some travel to attend meetings and make author contacts is required.
This is a full-time salaried position and can be based anywhere in the continental United States. At least five years of writing experience and five years of health care experience is required, including experience writing for digital media, including blogs, web pages, and social media.
