Ohio has received Medicaid approval to add 2,000 clients to a program that makes it easier for people with mental or developmental disabilities to live at home or in home-like settings. The state expects approval to add 6,500 more clients in January 2002. The federal waivers, approved in December 2001, will be used to provide caretakers either in the family home or in an alternative setting such as a group home. The waivers mean Medicaid funds . . .
