The Institute for Youth, Education, and Families at the National League of Cities (NLC) has selected eight cities to participate in a 30-month "Municipal Leadership for Expanded Learning Opportunities" project. Designed to improve and expand after-school programs, NLC's Institute will encourage collaboration between city leaders and teams of community members to create high-quality after-school programs citywide.
