On August 6, 1998, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations OCAHO) released a clarification for its Comprehensive Accreditation manual for Behavioral Health Care standard HR 4.1.1-4.1.1.4 (MS5.4.3) in the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals.
