Effective January 22, 2001, Universal Health Services (UHS) Inc., acquired two behavioral health hospitals in Boston, Massachusetts - the Pembroke Hospital and Westwood Lodge Hospital. The two hospitals operate 215 beds and an outpatient clinic. UHS currently operates, through subsidiaries, three behavioral health hospitals, and 15 outpatient clinics in Eastern Massachusetts.
UHS also acquired the 96-bed Rancho Springs Acute Care Hospital in Murrieta, California on January 12, 2001. The revenues of these three hospitals are approximately $65 . . .
