As 2006 came to a close, I spent a considerable amount of time reading a wrap up of the strategic and management issues facing executives and policymakers in the behavioral health and social service field. My reading left me with one inescapable conclusion the most fundamental problem in our sector is the inability of organizations to innovate and successfully bring new service innovation to the consumers that we serve.
