The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has issued a final order denying the petition by the National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) to make marijuana legally available for medical use by rescheduling it from Schedule I to Schedule II of the Controlled Substances Act. Schedule I drugs are classified as having no accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse, while Schedule II are classified as having a high potential for abuse but some medical application.</p . . .
