After serving troubled children in Indianapolis, Indiana for 134 years, Pleasant Run Children and Family Services declared bankruptcy and shut its doors forever on February 22, 2001. The children who were cared for by Pleasant Run are now being handled by three agencies - Mentor, for foster care; Children's Bureau, for community and home-based services; and Lutheran Child and Family Services, Lutherwood, for residential care.
