Massachusetts Blue Cross Scales Back Contract with Magellan Health Services Members

On February 11, 2005, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts announced that it is scaling back its contract with Magellan Health Services, Inc., and will resume management of mental health benefits for 460,000 Magellan Health Services members. The transition is to begin January 1, 2006. Magellan will continue to manage mental health benefits for 750,000 Blue Cross regional care plan enrollees.
