Officials of Ontarios Ministry are considering changing its policies in order to prevent Canadian citizens from seeking chemical dependency treatment in the United States. The Ontario Health Insurance Program (OHIP), which is part of Canadas national health system, pays 75% of nonemergency care (such as chemical dependency treatment) and allows citizens to be treated out of the country.
