Much to my surprise, I opened the May 14th issue of The Wall Street Journal and read an interview with Gil Kerlikowske, our new leader of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), calling for a new paradigm in addressing Americas addiction problem. I applaud Mr. Kerlikowske for calling for an end to referring to our addiction initiative as the war on drugs and for adopting a public health approach to the addiction problem. I . . .
