The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), an organization that accredits a range of human services providers, merged with the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CCAC) on January 31, 2003. Founded in 1985, CCAC accredits aging services continuums, including continuing care retirement communities and other organizations. CARF acquired CCAC from the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) in Washington, D.C.
The new organization will help CCAC to better serve its customers by streamlining processes . . .
