Bangor Hospital to be Converted into Psych Facility

The James Taylor Osteopathic Hospital, the Bangor, Maine facility that went into bankruptcy last year, has been sold for $1.2 million to Rosscare Psychiatric. Rosscare Psychiatric, a subsidiary of Eastern Maine Healthcare, was the sole bidder for the facility, according to a report in the July 16, 1990 issue of Health Week. The facility will be converted into an 80-bed psychiatric hospital which will be known as Acadia Psychiatric Hospital.
