The Maine Telepsychiatry Initiative (MTI), developed by the Behavioral Health Network of Maine, a network of not-for-profit social agencies, is beginning to offer telepsychiatry services using high- speed interactive video to patients in the state's rural areas, where there is a shortage of psychiatrists.
