House Bill 2292 will drastically reshape the delivery and reimbursement of mental health and mental retardation services in Texas. One of the bill's effects will be the consolidation of Texas' Health and Human Services Agencies. Other sections of the bill include allowing psychiatric telemedicine, and an expansion of funding for inpatient admissions quality assurance. Additional sections will modify the existing delivery system in Texas as follows:
