Psychologist Thomas D. Francek was dismissed by a Detroit, Michigan newspaper following testimony in court that appeared to breach patient confidentiality according to a report in the September 24 issue of The Washington Post. The Detroit Free Press hired Francek three years ago and the Detroit News, two years ago as an in-house counselor. For the past 30 months, the newspapers have been the subject of government and court scrutiny with regard to their intent to merge operations . . .
