The Washington Psychiatric Society’s (WPS) free telephone information and referral service, known as OPEN LINE, just entered its fifth year. OPEN LINE provides the general public with immediate telephone access to a psychiatrist at no charge. During 1987, 3,000 calls were made to the service.
