What to make of the interest in integrated behavioral health and primary care service delivery? The estimate is that primary care providers now furnish over half of mental health treatment in this country (see The De Facto US Mental & Addictive Disorders Service System). And, it has been seven years since SAMHSA started making major investments in expanding the primary care capacity of the traditional community mental health centers.
