Growing to Like Regional Models for Public Behavioral Health Care
Regional and county-based models for public behavioral health care have been evolving in recent years, and I find that I'm growing rather fond of then as an alternative to statewide carve-out models. Having survived (and praised) the Massachusetts statewide carve-out model, I now find myself working in Michigan and North Carolina where new regional models are actively being implemented.
