Adolescent Admissions for Substance Abuse Treatment Increased 20 Percent
The number of adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17 who have been admitted to substance abuse treatment increased 20 percent between 1994 and 1999. This was one of the findings of the latest Treatment Episode Data Set (TEDS) report released in December 2001 by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
