AMA's Union Attempts to Represent Michigan Doctors
The American Medical Association's (AMA) newly created union is seeking to represent its first group of physicians who work for a Medicaid health maintenance organization, (HMO). Physicians for Responsible Negotiations (PRN), a union created by the Chicago-based AMA, has asked the National Labor Relations Board in Detroit for permission to represent 27 doctors who work for the Wellness Plan.
