ACHC Launches Behavioral Health Accreditation Standards For First Five Services
On February 14, 2013, the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC) released standards for the first five services in its new Behavioral Health Accreditation Program that will ultimately include accreditation for 19 behavioral health services for individuals diagnosed with mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or addiction disorders. Provider organizations can download the new behavioral health standards for the first five services at no cost to begin the process to accredit their case management, community support, day treatment, outpatient treatment, and psychosocial rehabilitation services.
