Ohio Governor Announces $5 Million In Disability Access Grants

Ohio Governor Bob Taft announced March 31, 2000 that 97 additional state school districts are eligible to share $5 million in Disability Access Program Grants to make school buildings more accessible for disabled students. The program, administered by the Ohio School Facilities Commission, provides funding to local school districts to help pay for the installation of elevators and ramps, restroom renovations, and the widening of entrance and exit doors.
