Dr. Hendler Appointed President of American Academy of Pain Management Nelson H. Hendler, MD has accepted the position of president-elect of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Pain Management. He will become president of the board on January 1, 2006. In his capacity as president, Dr. Hendler will serve as spokesperson and liaison for the organization, while trying to add to its current membership of 6,000. The Academy provides credentialing, accreditation of facilities, networking opportunities, continuing education, quality publications and an annual clinical meeting.
