State Medicaid Program Staff Need Additional Training To Implement Integrated Care Programs For Medicare-Medicaid Enrollees
States considering implementing integrated care programs for people dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid should provide training to state Medicaid program staff to increase the capacity of state Medicaid program staff to manage and administer the programs. States building integrated care programs need staff skilled in managed care oversight; quality assurance/improvement; program integrity; marketing, outreach, and education; legal and public affairs; finance and budget; eligibility and enrollment; and data analytics for complex populations.
