27% Of Non-Institutionalized U.S. Adults Have A Disability
Approximately 26.8% of surveyed, non-institutionalized adults in the U.S. have a disability, representing 67.2 million adults. Approximately 11.7% of surveyed, non-institutionalized adults in the U.S. have more than one disability, representing 29.6 million adults. Disability types include hearing, vision, cognition or mental, mobility, self-care, and independent living (difficulty living independently).
