97% of Therapists Say The Number of People Seeking Therapy For The First Time Has Increased Following COVID-19
On May 18, 2021, Grow Therapy released findings of an in-house survey indicating that 97% of therapists say that the number of people seeking therapy for the first time has increased since coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) started. Despite the surge in first-time therapy seekers, just 18% of therapists reported that less than 10% of their consumers say they resisted seeking help through therapy for more than a year. Currently, 82% of therapists say that Millennials are most open to therapy, 47% of Generation Z are open to therapy, and 42% of Generation X are open to therapy . . .
