AMA Unveils Toolkit To Help States ‘End’ The Overdose Epidemic
The American Medical Association (AMA) released a group of strategies intended to help states reduce drug overdose rates and “end” the opioid overdose epidemic. The strategies include eliminating prior authorization requirements, incentivizing positive behavior change, and enforcing state and federal laws on health plan parity of access to mental health and addiction disorder treatment.
