CareFirst BCBS Awards $1.3 Million In Grants To Four Behavioral Health Telemedicine Initiatives

On February 20, 2014, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst BCBS) in Maryland announced it had awarded more than $1.3 million to four telemedicine initiatives that treat patients with behavioral health care needs. CareFirst selected proposals for projects submitted by Catholic Charities of Baltimore, Atlantic General Hospital, La Clinica del Pueblo, and the Sheppard Pratt Health System. The initiatives will target patients in underserved urban and rural areas of Maryland and Washington, D.C.
