Clinton Behavioral Health Policy Paper Pledges Support For Parity & Research
Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has pledged to support behavioral health services in six key policy areas, including parity enforcement and research investment. The goal of her plan is to ensure that access to and quality of mental health and physical health care are equivalent. The policy areas address prevention, clinical integration, crisis intervention, parity enforcement, housing and employment support for people with mental health disorders, and research investment.
The preliminary plans for each policy area were outlined in “Factsheets: Hillary Clinton's Comprehensive Agenda On Mental Health.” If elected, she plans to convene a White House Conference on Mental Health . . .
