CMS Announces Primary Care First Model Participants; Program To Begin January 1
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has chosen 37 payer participants and 916 primary care practice participants in 27 states for the Primary Care First Model (PCF). CMS announced the participants on November 16, 2020. The PCF program performance period begins January 1, 2021.
PCF is a five-year, multi-payer demonstration. It is part of the CMS “Primary Cares Initiative” announced in 2019 by the CMS Innovation Center.
