Maryland Approves $465 Million In Contracts With 31 Provider Organizations To Increase The Number Of Foster Care Beds Available For Placement Of Children By 4.8%
The Maryland Board of Public Works approved $465 million in Department of Human Services (DHS) contracts to expand the number of beds available for the placement of foster children in the state by 4.8%, according to a local news report. The contracts were awarded to 31 child placement agencies for a total of 2,013 placement beds.
