Medicaid Performance On Child Behavioral Health Quality Measures Falls Below 50% In 2018
State Medicaid program performance on child behavioral health measures was below 50% for at least one component of care of the four behavioral health measures included in the 23 publicly reported Medicaid Child Core Set measures in federal fiscal year (FFY) 2018. Median performance was lower than 50% on two measures of access to behavioral health care: Follow-up after hospitalization for mental illness within seven days of discharge; and follow-up visits within 30 days of new attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) medication prescription.
