One-Third Of Working Parents Report Changing Or Quitting Their Jobs During The Past Two Years Due To Their Child’s Mental Health

About 32% of working parents said they changed or quit a job during the past two years due to concerns about their children’s mental health. Black/African American parents were more likely than White-only parents to report changing their work arrangements for this reason, at 37% to 26%. About 51% of working parents sought professional help for their children’s mental health symptoms.
