Skilled Nursing Facility Prices Average $85,900 Per Bed In 2015 – 12% Higher Than 2014

During 2015, skilled nursing facility prices averaged $85,900 per bed, about 12% higher than the average per-bed price of $76,697 in 2014. Average per unit prices for assisted living facilities were $189,200 per unit in 2015, which was nearly the same as the previous year. In general, costs of both skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities have been increasing rapidly over the past decade – with average cost per skilled nursing facility bed rising over 80% and average cost per assisted living facility unit rising over 40% between 2006 and 2015.
