Washington, Minnesota & Vermont Ranked Top 3 For LTSS Quality & Access; Alabama, Kentucky & Indiana Ranked Bottom 3
The quality and availability of state long-term services and supports (LTSS) are ranked the best in Washington, Minnesota, and Vermont. The lowest ranked states are Alabama, Kentucky, and Indiana. LTSS is defined as the day-to-day help, such as personal care, medication management, wound care, or independent living support needed by people with long-term conditions, disabilities, or frailty. The rankings are based on data for home- and community-based services and facility-based care, and for supportive services provided to family members and other unpaid caregivers.
