GETTYSBURG, Pa. (Sept 12, 2021) – On September 23 at 1:00 p.m. (ET), OPEN MINDS will host the Circle Elite Executive Roundtable, Capturing & Managing The Increasing Volume & Acuity Of Mental Health Referrals, for executives of health and human service organizations. The focus of this Circle Elite Executive Roundtable will be on the challenges surrounding the increased volume and acuity of mental health referrals.
How is your organization capturing and managing the increased volume of mental health referrals? There continues to be an increased stress on the behavioral health system due to the elevated number of mental health referrals. With concerns about the Delta variant and rising case numbers, the mental health referrals may not decrease anytime soon. Now is the time to win new referrals and outpace your competition as we move into the ‘Next Normal.’ This Circle Elite Executive Roundtable will feature OPEN MINDS Senior Associate, Erin Pressel and Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital Director of Business Development, Michael Stevens, who will give an overview of how to strategically capture and manage more referrals.
This roundtable will detail how to effectively increase your volume of referrals. Also, we will discuss how to educate and prepare staff to handle an increased workload, including how to modify intake and admission procedures. Additionally, we will breakdown the characteristics of mental health referrals during COVID-19, as the cases are now more complex and varied. Lastly, we will show executive attendees how to measure and analyze the data that comes with the elevated inflated volume.
“The number of adults who reported experiencing anxiety or depressive disorder reached 40% in 2020,” said OPEN MINDS Chief Executive Officer Monica E. Oss. “As the pandemic’s effects linger, we can expect an ongoing increase in mental health referral volume. Preparing your organization and adjusting your strategy will ensure you can properly serve your customers and increase revenue.”
