Daniel Marama brings 12 years of experience in marketing to OPEN MINDS.
Previously, Mr. Marama was the Chief Executive Officer of Marama Marketing. As a boutique marketing agency with big agency expertise, he was able to assist banks and credit unions find, convert, and keep customers with digital paid advertising. Despite the current market forces, he was able to develop a digital footprint methodology that generated a record lending month of 265 million and 2000 net new members per month.
Prior to creating Marama Marketing, Mr. Marama was a juvenile and adult probation officer for Adams County. He would supervise offenders and monitor their activities to verify compliance with court orders and regulations, ensuring the safety and protection of the community, upholding the offender’s accountability, and aid in their rehabilitation. Mr. Marama would also work with school staff to facilitate the rehabilitation of targeted students.
Before being a probation officer, Mr. Marama was a program coordinator for Gettysburg College’s Center for Public service. Mr. Marama would manage all aspects of the Latino issues program. He also recruited students to assist with tutoring and worked one-on-one with community partners that played a significant role in student education by providing opportunities to learn and guide students through the exploration of social justices, course concepts, and personal and professional development. Mr. Marama collaborated with college faculty to integrate service learning as part of their curriculum.
Mr. Marama received his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Gettysburg College. In his spare time, he is a board member of the Adams County Sports Hall of Fame, a basketball coach for Gettysburg Middle school, and a board member of the non-profit organization, Manos Unidas, which promotes the integration of the growing and diverse population in Adams County.
