Mark Guth brings over 30 years of experience in the health and human services field, with expertise in long-term care, marketing, business development, strategic planning, and managed care contracting. Prior to his role with OPEN MINDS, Mr. Guth served as the Vice President of Business Development & Managed Care for Welbrook Senior Living, a provider of senior living and assisted living services. In that role, he lead the development of new facilities, working with senior management to identify target markets. Mr. Guth also managed all marketing and sales functions, communication initiatives, and social media for the organization.
Before his time at Welbrook Senior Living, Mr. Guth served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Preferred Care Partners Management Group, a provider of inpatient nursing and rehabilitative services. In that role, Mr. Guth directed a 100+ member sales team in twelve states. He created and implemented strategic and tactical plans to achieve organizational revenue goals and and drove the development of cardiac and pulmonary specialty units within existing facilities. While at Preferred Care, Mr. Guth also created an in-house marketing and graphic design team to centralize marketing communications.
Prior to his role at Preferred Care Partners Management Group, Mr. Guth served as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Diversicare Healthcare Services, a $300 million publicly-traded company that provides nursing, personal care, rehabilitation, nutritional support, and social services. In this role, Mr. Guth established a managed care initiative and developed professionalized marketing collaterals. He was successful in optimization the payer mix and increasing revenues.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Guth served as the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing at Kindred Healthcare, where he provided strategic oversight and direction to drive census, payer mix, and revenue for over 60 nursing facilities. In this role, he directed a sales organization of 84 people, produced 15% net revenue growth after his first full year, and saw a 12.32% growth in monthly admissions by the end of his tenure.
Mr. Guth received a Master of Arts in Social Work from Florida State University.
