The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities and Council on Accreditation (Alliance-COA), which announced their intent to merge, unveiled their new organization and rebranded as Social Current. The blended organization will represent a network of thousands of social-sector organizations working in partnership to activate the power and impact of the social sector.

Since January 2021, the two organizations have been integrating their business processes. The Alliance was one of COA’s original founders in 1977. Social Current is headquartered in Washington, D.C. The benefits of Alliance-COA include the following:
