Nonprofits Easter Seals Central Texas and Vaughn House announced that they will merge into one group beginning in January. As part of the deal, Vaughn House, a nonprofit that helps adults who are deaf and have intellectual and developmental disabilities, will retain its brand and tax-exempt status but will be a subsidiary of Easter Seals Central Texas, which provides services to children and adults with disabilities, according to a statement released earlier this week.
