November 1, 2011 On November 1, 2011 Colorado Department of Human Services released its budget request for FY 2012-13. The budget provides Colorado Mental Institute at Pueblo (CMHIP) with two solutions to address the demand for competency evaluations and restorations. The solutions include opening additional inpatient beds or amending statute to allow only CMHIP approved and trained evaluators to determine if an inmate needs an inpatient evaluation at CMHIP.
