Peninsula Behavioral Health (PBH) is Clallam County, Washington’s primary behavioral health treatment center. PBH is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides mental and behavioral health treatment, primary care, and substance use disorder services. Established in 1971, with a staff of seven people, PBH has grown the last fifty years to more than 150 people and provides service to more than 3,000 consumers in eastern Clallam County. Intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) are a physical and/or cognitive impairments that occur before the age of 22. Autism spectrum disorder is generally considered a type of developmental disability that affects behaviour and communication. The autism and I/DD market provides supports and health care services to these populations.
