American Well To Acquire Avizia, Deepening Capabilities In Acute Care Delivery

American Well recently announced it is acquiring Avizia. It is anticipated the acquisition will bolster American Well’s acute care delivery capabilities.

With the purchase, American Well will now have access to Avizia’s more than forty different clinical specialty workflow softwares, as well as provide more options to American Well’s network of health systems, health plans, and other health entities. It is expected that the acquisition will close later in the second quarter of this year.
