BayMark Acquires SpecialCare Hospital Management

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) provider organization BayMark Health Services (Baymark) recently announced it has acquired SpecialCare Hospital Management Corporation (SpecialCare). SpecialCare is a St. Louis, Missouri-based national provider of addiction disorder and withdrawal management services.

SpecialCare, which currently provides such services at 46 acute care hospitals throughout 13 states, will retain its name and the majority of its current staff. With the transaction, BayMark now manages or operates a total of 209 programs across 32 states, as well as Ontario, Canada.
