Behavioral Health Services Expanded In New Michigan Hospital
The new Duke Lifepoint Hospital will have a larger behavioral health department when it opens in October 2018. Currently, the U.P. Health System - Marquette, which includes Duke Lifepoint Hospital, has 38 beds and that number will expand to 50 once the new hospital goes into operation.
The 12 new beds for geriatric consumers will be a welcome addition for the U.P. Health System - Marquette, a system in which hospital officials have expressed a need for additional beds. It is also anticipated that the location of the new beds will help the hospital to care for consumers' mental health . . .
