Centene To Buy Fidelis Care For $3.75 Billion To Enter New York Health Insurance Market

Centene announced that they will purchase Fidelis Care for $3.75 billion. With the acquisition, the company looks to enter into the New York health insurance market. Adding to its presence in large states such California, Texas, and Florida, Centene will now serve 1.6 million consumers in New York, via the purchase. The deal, which is anticipated to close by the end of 2017, has Centene expecting to generate over $60 billion in 2018 revenue.
