Chartwell School Receives $45 Million Gift As Seed Funding To Create A New High School For Students With Dyslexia & Other Learning Differences
Chartwell School, which serves students with dyslexia and associated learning differences, received a $45 million gift. The funding will be used as seed funding for a new high school on its campus in Seaside, California. The donation also focuses on enhancing Chartwell School’s programs to support teachers from many other schools seeking to leverage cutting-edge research on teaching practices and effective technologies for their classrooms.
The gift is from the estate of Chuck and Claire Jacobson who were longtime supporters of Chartwell School. Chartwell intends to use the funds in specific areas identified by the donors:
